One of the biggest challenges
in this class so far has been not having the typical one hour session class
with the instructor in front of the class. I have taken other online classes
but taking an English class is very different it makes it more different and
difficult due to the fact that we do not have in class discussions. I really
have succeeded in getting more involved. By getting more involved I mean
commenting other people working and seeing what other classmates are doing. As a
college student all I focus is on my work and trying to succeeded I have never
cared for other peoples work. But when this class started commenting peoples
work is fun because there is a meaning to it and that to me is working ad
helping together. The readings that we have done in the class have not affected
me. I must admit that they are not the easiest but I try my best to understand
the readings. Literary Analysis is different from other writing I have done in
college. It takes more effort and more time to understand what I am reading. My
goal for this next half of the semester is to put more effort in my readings.
Also to communicate with the professor for any questions I have for any confusion
I have and would like to have a better understanding to succeed in the
assignments. My goal is to end this class with a good grade and with strength
that will help me succeed throughout college and my career.
Jazmin, thank you for sharing some thoughts about the semester so far. I agree with your challenges about not being in a classroom. It is good to hear you have experience with other on-line courses, I have not been as fortunate. This class is my first on-line course experience. It is great you have enjoyed providing feedback on the blogs. In the second half of the semester I hope to read and comment on more blogs than just the required 2 minimum, but we will see what happens. Keep up the good work. There is light at the end of the tunnel. We are halfway there!!!
